Heliconia Crocodile hybrid (my name for it)
subgenus Griggsia
section I'm uncertain
- common name: I put the name Crocodile on this thing since I didn't find previous references to it.
- native to: Panama and probably Colombia, home to both parents.
- comment: Seems to be a hybrid of H. mariae and H. curtispatha.

Somewhat older inflorescence than the ones above.

- leaf blade: 160 centimeters
- leaf blade: 230 - 61 L - W in centimeters
- color notes: Red midrib, white waxy coating under leaves and on young stems.
- stems per clump: 5 to 10
- comment: Leaves are held somewhat erect, older ones are tattered. Vegetation looks similar to H. mariae.

- habitat notes: growing either on slope or on flat, waterlogged ground
- common at this location: there were three plants in close proximity, but I didn't see others anywhere else
- associated species: mariae, curtispatha, platystachys, irrasa, vaginalis
